How the scoring works
Deterministic, transparent, and local — no AI touches the free report.
Each mode — receiving and giving — scores up to 55 selections: 25 core ratings on a 0–5 scale, 10 absence/pain ratings weighted 1.5× (because the pain of a missing love language is often more diagnostic than the pleasure of a present one), and 10 forced-choice scenarios awarding +3 for your first choice and +1 for your second. Your written stories add qualitative context and are never scored.
Scoring runs entirely in your browser and is fully deterministic: the same answers always produce the same result. Each result carries a confidence rating and consistency flags — a low-confidence or flagged result says so plainly rather than pretending certainty. This is a reflection and communication tool, not a clinical or validated psychometric assessment.
Privacy, by design
Not a policy promise — a technical constraint.
The free assessment never sends your answers anywhere: no accounts, no analytics, no third-party requests of any kind. Our Content-Security-Policy is default-src 'self', which makes third-party beacons technically impossible rather than merely promised. Your answers live in this browser — choose temporary storage on a shared device.
AI enters only if you buy a guide: after checkout and explicit consent, the relevant completed results and written notes are sent to our AI provider once, to generate it. The server stores payment entitlement metadata only — never your answers, stories, or the generated guide. Refunds and disputes automatically revoke access.

How is the assessment scored?
Each mode scores 55 selections: 25 core ratings (0–5), 10 absence ratings weighted 1.5×, and 10 forced-choice scenarios (+3 first choice, +1 second). Scoring is deterministic and runs in your browser — the free report never uses AI or a server.
What happens to my answers?
They stay in this browser. Choose temporary storage on a shared device, or Reset all to clear everything. Share links contain derived scores only — never your written stories, boundaries, or raw answers.
What do the paid guides include, and where does my data go?
The $9 Personal Love Guide interprets your receive-versus-give pattern; the $19 Couples Translation Guide maps two partners' patterns against each other. Only after checkout and explicit consent are the relevant completed results and written notes sent to our AI provider to generate the guide. The server stores payment entitlement metadata only — never your answers or the guide.
Can couples compare results?
Yes. One partner exports their completed profile as JSON and the other imports it — the comparison happens in the browser. Both partners' completed receive and give profiles are required for the Couples Translation Guide.
Can I read a purchased guide on another device?
No. There are no accounts, so access stays in the browser where you purchased, for 30 days.
